I am an Australian New Testament scholar interested in the social and political context of the New Testament, including group dynamics among early Christ-followers, ancient rhetoric, and the role of women in the first century. Much of my research has centered around the book of Jude, Luke-Acts, and 1 Enoch.

Carla SwaFFORD WORKS: The least of these

I am delighted to showcase the scholarship of Carla Swafford Works. Her book, The Least of These: Paul and the Marginalised has been incredibly helpful in my own thinking and teaching over the past few years. Her work is not only accessible but it is also well-researched, highly original, and deeply liberating. Visit the resources section for a wider selection of books, articles, and podcasts that I have found helpful in my own thinking and teaching.
